The Session Attendance Kiosk allows attendees to check in and out of individual sessions by scanning their badges. The kiosk is set up using the Conference Tracker mobile app, while attendees use the Conference Attendee App to scan the QR code. This helps organizers accurately track attendance and time spent in each session.
Ensure attendees have downloaded the Conference Attendee App.
In the Conference Tracker web portal, ensure that the Attendee Portal Settings are configured correctly:
Enable Self Sign-In Option should be turned on
The Self Sign-In widget can be moved to the first nine items on the App Main Screen. This is optional, but doing so makes it more visible on the attendee’s dashboard.
Place the kiosk outside each session room, either mounted on a wall or on a floor stand for easy access.
Make sure the correct room is selected in the app so sessions are retrieved properly, and that you've synced the latest data from the web server.
On the left-hand menu of the Conference Tracker mobile app, go to Conference Check-In Kiosks → Session QR Station.
You will see:
Your conference logo
Current session names with start/end times
Instructions for attendees
A QR code for the room
Attendee Steps:
Open the Conference Attendee App and select Self Sign-In from the left navigation menu, or from the dashboard if it appears there.
After the camera opens, scan the QR code on the kiosk.
After completing the sign-in, a confirmation message will appear indicating success or an error.
Notes:
The kiosk automatically tracks sign-in and sign-out times.
The first scan is counted as a sign-in, and the second scan is counted as a sign-out.
If both are recorded, the total time spent in the session will be calculated. Attendance will still be logged if only one sign-in is recorded.
If multiple sessions are happening at the same time (for example, one ending and another starting), attendees will be prompted to select which session they want to sign in or out of.
If no session is currently in progress, the kiosk will display a message indicating whether there’s an upcoming session or that all sessions for the day are finished.
