Conference Tracker: How to Create a New Administrator Account for other Admins?

Introduction

In this guide, you'll see how easy it is to add additional Administrators to your conference. Keep in mind, adding Admin accounts will give them access to all areas of the system. There are other roles explained below that may be more appropriate to give them if they do not need complete administrative access to the system.

Step-by-Step

1. Log in to the https://conftrac.com website with an existing admin account.

2. Navigate to the Advanced Options section, then the Administrators section of the left-side main menu, to create the Admin account. You'll need to enter basic and security information for the new administrator, including assigning roles.

3. Create a New Administrator:
  • In the administrator management area, click the "Create" button. You will be prompted to enter the new administrator's information. 
4. Enter Administrator Information:
  • Basic Information: Provide the required fields of the administrator's first name, last name, and email address. 
  • Security Information: Assign roles to the "Administrator" if not already set in the field. Administrators have access to everything on the Conference Tracker website, so ensure you're assigning this role appropriately. You can also set a password for the new account (otherwise, they will have to go through an email verification process).
  • Optional Information: Enter any other relevant details about the administrator, such as their phone number or address. 
5. Save the New Administrator:
  • Review all the information you've entered. 
  • Click "Save Changes" to create the new administrator account.
