Upgrading the AccuSQL 2020 Database from an older version of the software

AccuSQL: How to Run the AccuSQL Database Updater Tool on an older AccuSQL Database
Warning!  The SQLDataUpdater.exe Utility has been updated since this KB article was written and will now be included with the installers directly like shown:

However, in order to run the application you'll need to copy it into the install directory (which should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\AccuSQL2020") for the AccuSQL application before running the SQLDataUpdater.exe tool.

1.  Right-click on the AccuSQL 2020 icon and select Open file location.

2. Locate the application SQLDataUpdater.  Double click to run the SQLDataUpdater.

3.  Fill out the fields with the SQL Server connection and authentication information just the same as you would when connecting to the AccuSQL client Database Location.  Make sure to select the appropriate SQL client driver for your environment. A best practice is to select the same SQL client driver that is selected in the AccuSQL client Database Location settings. Click the Update button.

4.  Repeat this process for each database that your client computers will be connecting to on the SQL Server.
IMPORTANT:  Run this process once per database location. Keep in mind that it only has to be run once per database and does not have to be run once from every client install.
5. Now simply close the SQLDataUpdater.exe application.  Open the AccuSQL 2020 application to ensure a successful upgrade.
