In Accudemia now you can put back in line a student even if it is an online session and the student has already signed in. In this article, we will describe how to do this and the considerations that need to be taken into account.
STEP BY STEP
1-Initial considerations:
For an online session, it becomes more difficult to place students back in line, the reason for this is that after the student sign-in to the session starts it is expected that the user navigates away from Accudemia and into a 3rd party application (where the session will take place), this is way in order not to support this feature the tutor/staff needs to have a way to let the student know that the session is going to take place at a different time/place.
2-Configuring the system to allow it:
Go to Administration--> Control Panel --> Virtual Sessions:
Set the scope as needed, if you need this setting running college-wide leave it at the college scope, or you can select the center(s) that will use this feature. Then click "View Settings":
In the Remote Sign-in Links section enable the highlighted option:
Now as you can see in this example in the "Manage Center" screen, for this student that has signed in already for an online session, there is the option to put him back online:
Now it is up to the tutor to decide what tutor to link for the next session and if the tutor wants to discard this visit completely and put back in line (as if nothing has happened) or if the tutor wants to keep the record of this visit and put the student back in line for another visit:
