Accudemia: How do I create a custom role template for System Users?

Introduction

Accudemia allows administrators to create custom role templates. These templates become options when creating a new System User, and they will automatically fill in permissions. This way, administrators don't need to manually select the correct permissions every single time they create a new System User.  This article will explain how to create a custom role template, as well as how to apply one to a user.

Step-by-Step

Creating the custom role template

1. Navigate to Administration > Advanced > Role Group Templates on the home page.

2. Click the + New Roll button on the top-right of the screen.

3. Give the role template a name, set its permissions, then save it.

Check whether the template has saved correctly

1. Navigate to Administration > User Accounts on the home page.

2. Click on any user's name, then select the "Security" tab.

3. Enable the "System User" role, open the "Apply Template" dropdown menu, and look for the custom role.

4. Double check whether all the intended permissions were automatically enabled or not, then click the Save Changes button.
