Introduction
Administrators
can mark students, tutors, and instructors as active/inactive in
Accudemia. This can either be done manually in the "User Groups" screen
or in bulk using a CSV (comma-separated value) file. Doing it manually
is preferable if there are only a handful of users that need editing.
However, if a new term is beginning and there are hundreds of student
accounts that need activating, it's suggested to use the CSV file
method. This article will explain how to edit users' active status
through Accudemia, and a CSV file.
Step-By-Step
Activating users one at a time
1. Navigate to Administration > User Accounts.
2. Use the search tool to find the user and click on their name.
A user will be marked as "Active" or "Inactive" below their name.
3. Click the "Security" tab and check/uncheck the user's "Active" status.
4. Click Save Changes when finished.
Activating users in bulk
1. Navigate to Administration > Advanced > Export.
2. Select the group of users to export.
3. Download the CSV (comma-separated value) file.
4. Open the CSV file in an editing software like Excel and begin marking the users as active/inactive.
Under
the "Active" column is a list of 1's and 0's (which stand for active
and inactive respectively). So if all users should be marked "Active,"
ensure that every student has a 1 in that cell. When finished, save the
file, then use the Import function in Accudemia to upload the
information. For instructions on how to import files, follow this link.
