Accudemia - How can I embed a video in the Accudemia Homepage Announcements?

In this guide, we'll show you how to update the Announcements so that they can have a YouTube or other shared video embedded on your homepage in Accudemia. This is helpful when needing a student to perform a certain action in the software, or it can be helpful to share events at the center.
Step-by-Step:
Copy the Embed Code from the Source (YouTube)
- Locate the video on YouTube, right-click on it, and select the "Copy Embed Code" option (may be different from different sources).
- Save this copied URL to use later.
Update the Announcement in Accudemia to include the video:
- First, log in to Accudemia as an Admin.
- Next, from the main menu, navigate to the Administration > Control Panel > Announcements section.
- Fill the following fields to get the announcement to show how you want. Below is a graphic to show you where each section will appear:
- The Title shows at the top of the Announcements/News section on the Homepage.
- The Preview is what shows in the section, before they click the button to View more.
- The Announcement Text is what shows when the user clicks the View Full Announcementbutton in a pop-up window.
Note: You will want to paste in the embed code using the </> icon on the menu bar above the field you see above.
Paste in the code where you need it:
Click the </> icon again to make sure the embedded video looks good. - Save Changes at the top of the page.
