Accudemia: How can I troubleshoot a virtual session connection to ensure that it will work for the appointment?

Introduction

There is also a new tool that you may not be aware of in the Accudemia appointments section that lets you check to see if the tutor's Zoom connection or ConnectLink is working and valid.

Step-by-Step

Here are the steps to access this check:
  1. Navigate to the Centers > Appointments > View All section from the Accudemia main menu.

  2. Next, look for an Appointment that is scheduled with that tutor for a virtual service and click on the Details link listed on the appointment. It will look similar to this screenshot below, but be sure to select the tutor and the "virtual" service filter to view the next options:

  3. Now, there will be all of the details of the appointment, and at the very bottom of this screen you'll see a button to "Troubleshoot Virtual Sessions" that you'll want to click:

  4. Once there, results from the check will show you any possible issues with the connection:
    1. If the appointment is in the future or past, then you will get something like this, just stating it is too early or late, but you want all other items to be with green checkmarks as shown below:

    2. If the appointment is happening now (within the sign-in window), then you will get all green checkmarks if there are no issues:

  5. Check the other errors to see what suggestions that the software gives you. This may simply mean they need to disconnect and reconnect the Zoom account if there are basic issues found. Sometimes, though, the account may not be the right type to work with this integration. If all items are good, like in the last screenshot above, then students should be seeing this "Join Now" button on their homepage and, if configured in the Email Templates, be receiving a "Join Now" link via the email templates.

Conclusion

After testing the connection on your account following these steps found in the appointment details section, you should be able to connect successfully with your Zoom Pro account or your virtual ConnectLink to any online or virtual session with students.
