AccuCampus How to review and fix dead-ends?

INTRO

A dead-end page is a page that shows no valid results or other options that may lead to valid results for users. In AccuCampus there are ways to learn what dead-ends users encountered and what path the users followed to meet such dead-end, having such information is important to fix these dead-ends. This article describes how to find dead-ends and how to fix them.

STEP BY STEP

1-To find dead-end results go to Advanced-Options-->Settings-->Dead-End-Recording:

2- For each entry in the list you can see the path followed by the user to meet the dead-end and by clicking "View Feedback" you can learn about the description of the problem. Let's review some of the probable problems and how to solve them:

2.1 Campus Compass path incomplete: This happens when a student is able to select a Compass Category for example:

Then a student is able to select a Service such as "Scholarship and Grant Information":

However, there is no location that provides this service so the student arrived at a dead-end.

Solution: For this case, there are several solutions, the first one would be to delete the Service from the Compass (if we indeed have no locations that can provide it, or we can go to a General-->Services, locate this Service ("Scholarship and Grant Information") and add at least 1 location where the Service will be provided:

So now if students follow the same path, they know to see the location :

2.2 When students create an appointment and select the Service, Courses, and other choices no tutor shows up, so they arrive to a dead-end:

Solution: Add the course to a tutor's schedule or remove the course from the availability in this Semester.
