AccuCampus: How do I get notified of key information deletion/change attempts?

Introduction

In AccuCampus, every bit of information is important. Keeping a watchful eye on the deletion attempts of key topics is crucial to maintain a safe and secure system. This article explains how Administrators, or designated Users can be warned about key information been deleted or altered, so they can confirm that it was the appropriate course of action and not a wrongdoer causing harm.

Step-by-Step

Requirements: Some steps may require specific permissions that can only be granted by an Administrator.

1. Click on Advanced Options > Settings




2. Select  the Rules module




3. Click Create a New Rule

One of the most important topic in AccuCampus is the attendance logs. So as an example, they were chosen as a trigger.



Through the use of an Action, Administrators can opt to send a notification to specific Users, or go so far as to stop the deletion entirely through the "Stop Execution" action.

Using these same functions, Administrators can create several rules with other triggers, such as:
  1. When a User is manually deleted
  2. When an attendance log tag is removed.
These might indicate a possible wrongdoer eliminating/changing data on purpose to cause harm.

Many actions can be executed based on these triggers, like sending notifications, or stopping specific Users from attending appointments.
